چکیده
We derive dispersion relations for K → ππ decay, using the Lehmann-Symanzik-Zimmermann formalism, which allows the analytic continuation of the amplitudes with respect to the momenta of the external particles. No off-shell extrapolation of the field operators is assumed. We obtain generalized Omnès representations, which incorporate the ππ and πK S-wave phase shifts in the elastic region of the direct and crossed channels, according to Watson theorem. The contribution of the inelastic final-state and initial-state interactions is parametrized by the technique of conformal mappings. We compare our results with previous dispersive treatments and indicate how the formalism can be combined with lattice calculations to yield physical predictions.

متن کاملConsistency checks of pion-pion scattering data and chiral dispersive calculations
We have evaluated forward dispersion relations for scattering amplitudes that follow from direct fits to several sets of ππ scattering experiments, together with the precise K decay results, and high to energy data. We find that some of the most commonly used experimental sets, as well as some recent theoretical analyses based on Roy equations, do not satisfy these constraints by several standa...
متن کاملThe pion-pion scattering amplitude
We obtain reliable ππ scattering amplitudes consistent with experimental data, both at low and high energies, and fulfilling appropriate analyticity properties. We do this by first fitting experimental low energy (s ≤ 1.42GeV) phase shifts and inelasticities with expressions that incorporate analyticity and unitarity. In particular, for the S wave with isospin 0, we discuss in detail several se...

The techniques of lattice gauge theory offer the possibility of accurate, non-perturbative calculation of the masses and matrix elements predicted by low-energy QCD. Of particular interest are the properties of the K-meson system and the lowenergy, weak matrix elements that are required to understand Kaon decays, especially those which enter the K → ππ amplitudes which violate CP symmetry. Pres...

Dispersive approaches provide model independent description of meson-meson scattering. We first review here the use of dispersion relations to obtain a model independent unitarization of Chiral Perturbation Theory amplitudes, that establish the existence of light scalar mesons and whose leading 1/Nc behavior suggest they ahve a non q̄q dominant component. We also review the forward dispersion re...
